NSDF units have always been green, not grey. The colours haven't changed and I have the palettes open right now to prove it. The art for the redux was handled by Carey Chico, who was responsible for the original.
Previous testing indicates that any percieved issues with difficulty, unless Furies are involved, are likely just because you're out of practice. Players who moved to the redux directly from the latest version of BZ1 had no problem at all, especially not with the training missions, while players who had been away for a while tended to struggle.
Framers issues should, as discussed, be down to your hardware. Your PC is better than mine and mine works fine, so... No idea.
It should already be obvious that I'm not one of the remaster's developers. I do not have access to the game's source code and do not work for Rebellion. I do not have "people". Also, bugs and how they can be fixed are almost never comparable between game engines.
If you want to host a mod of your own I would suggest Mediafire. The mods I have berm working on will not be uploaded anywhere but Steam Workshop until they're finished - Steam Workshop is simply a fantastic tool for active development and testing because it handles version control for me. I'm not about to demand everybody who wants to play them downloads Perforce.
I know where my mods get downloaded to. I know that directory by heart because I use it every time I work in them.
You know I've been playing this game for over a decade? (See? You don't care either, do you?)
