Marauder is one of nine unseen mechs which are subject to copyright law.
While it is my favourite mech back from MW2 I doubt it will reapear anytime soon.

strange, because many of the unseen are still in this new videogame,but they obviously have visual design very different from my early days in the boardgame 3 decades ago.

i heard that they redesigned over the visuals of he unseens from scratch

i mean, locust, wolverine and griffin are here for example, but griffin of course is nothing near the japanese Macross-inspirated design it had long ago...

i think that's why, when the sourcebooks with clans and new federation mechs were released, they gradually changed the iconic covers or posters for the games with the MadKat as a mascot instead of the iconic marauder

I wrote the post because i read on Sarna site that Harmony Gold’s Case Against Harebrained Schemes Dismissed.

The case against HBS has been dismissed, but the lawsuit against Piranha Games is still running, which includes among others the likenesses of the Warhammer and the Marauder.

Until this has been cleared, the two mech models cannot be used, as it would give Harmony Gold a new reason to sue.

Gameplay wise, HBS added the Catapult-K and the Black Knight to the roster, which fill a similar niche.
