eisberg77: On Backerkit you should see the downloads for the soundtrack, wallpapers, and Artbook.
When you asked if you would get the entire game from GoG and they said yes, that is because that other stuff is not the game, so they answered the question you asked, you should have specifically stated about the non in game stuff.
Noishkel: Yeah, but that's not
the point. I specially
only buy my games from GOG because it is the only digital store that has a guarantee that it won't change it's TOS and put everything behind some flavor of DRM system.
It was bad enough that I was excluded from the Backer Beta that I paid to get access for because they decided to put it in Steam only
after I paid for it, but now I'm stuck having access to the extras locked behind
another third party content store. One that I don't even have a damn account for, thanks to the fact it was paid for via Backer.
No, there's there isn't any other way to cut this. Hare Brained Schemes have defrauded the very people that spent the $2.5+ million people that made this game a reality. But, sadly, few people are going to care because they got something that was kind of like what they paid for.
Must be your first time doing a kickstarter. Every kickstart I have been a part of, the extras were always given through a backerkit type system and not on Steam/GoG, it is common for nearly all of them regardless of developer.
You chose to not be a part of backer beta, you were not excluded from it. That is your own fault through your own choice.
You chose to not have a backerkit account, you can sign up for one. Again, this is common with kickstarter games.
Yes, there is another way to cut this, you made choices and you decided to prevent yourself from getting them. Nobody defrauded anybody.
You made the choices on your own, take responsibility for your own choices.
