I have for the last week tried to play the GOG version of the game v1.02 and v1.03. Until now i havent been able progress past the first tutorial no matter what i try. I did reach once the second tutorial mission but since repeating the same steps that lead to it progressing have failed ill consider it was just the planets in the right alignent that night.

Honestly this is the reason i pirate games before buying them. With the exception of some very old games, (mechawarrior 3, xcom interceptor and a couple more) no other game as ever been this problematic and unplayable pirated or not.

So i am open to sugestion and ideias if you have faced the same problem and been able to fix it.
Thank you for your time.
Never had a crash problem. Could be your system. However, Battletech is not very optimised. I have a very good system and yet load up times are way longer than they should be.

Can you tell us what your system is and then I might be able to advise?
I am on a ROG GL553 laptop. Yesterday i performed a clean install and drivers are updated.
You can try changing your display resolution in and out of the game. You can try running in windowed mode.

You can try modifying the game to skip the tutorial.

You can try getting tech support from the Paradox help desk.

Tech support links are in my stickied thread ttiled "Need Some Help? Start Here."

Very good system for a laptop. And if your drivers are updated, I`d say you might have to wait till they optimise it. Or try the methods of SoheiYamabushi, though I have very little faith in Paradox.
Alright game is on. Since i was crashing constantly on the second tutorial mission, I search for possible solutions and found that you can skip the tutorial by changing a value in a game resource file. If you are stuck you can google it and see if it solves your problem. I have now played for several hours without crashes or abnormal load times. Good game so far, so I will definitely buy it.

Just to bad games nowadays come with "more bugs than a crack w**** with the sniffles".

Glad you sosrted it. I can`t stand the tutorial anyway so will see if I can find that solution.
I'm having the same issue. Dual GTX980's in SLI on MSI MoBo with NVMe SSD.

Load times are incredibly slow considering my system. and this game is super buggy. I saw another post that suggested uninstalling GOG Galaxy and installing from the regular install files. I'd rather not do that though. maybe it's just time for a return/refund. :(

I had ctd after missions, but it was caused by an old mod. If you are using mods, make sure they are compatible with v1.3.
As for speed (mostly loading times and UI delays) use mods Turbine and BattletechPerformanceFix.
