How is the season pass redeemed? Through Paradox? I have Battletech through Steam, but would prefer to buy the season pass through GOG. Is this even possible? Thanks in advance.

It should be like with every season pass. You need the base game on the platform where you want to get the DLCs, so you have to buy it on Steam.

No. In order to even buy the season pass on GoG you have to own the base game on GoG as well, which is how Steam works to.
