Hi All,

I have the latest version installed (1.8.1), I'm in a middle of a mission; all the bad guys are dead yet the mission doesn't end. Is there a way to finish/end the mission; to force it ? Seems like the mission script just doesn't want to finish the mission.

there must be something still alive... have you killed all turrents?
Yes, all bad guys are dead - there is no enemy base. Not sure what I should do...

What type of mission is it? If it's a battle mission, then this must be a weird glitch or something. Replaying the mission sounds like your only option.

However, there are a bunch of missions (like recovery) where you need to put a mech on a spot for one turn to end the mission even after killing all the bad guys.
It's a Battle mission - Destroy Joint Task Force. All Allied units survived, yet the mission won't end.

I guess, I will have you re-play it. This is not the first time, this has happened before in my campaign. Seems still, the game is a bit buggy.

yes the game is riddled with small bugs... just reload the pre-mission save

if the enemy reinforcements arrive and Darius doesn't announce them as being on sensors, the mission won't finish. I've run into this a lot of times, both in campaign and career.

You can finish, if you find them. Enemies are still on the map, but not in range, so you have to move a bit, maybe spread around, and find them. Only once had a mission fail because some were outside the moveable map and you couldnt reach them and some because of the convoy bug that was fixe in 1.9 and I played for over 1000 hours now with lots of missions.
you misunderstand. covered entire map, no mechs remain, mission will not end. As best as I can tell, only happens when I reveal reinfoprcements before initial lance is defeated, and then only if Darius doesn't announce that reinforcements are on ship's sensors, before or after they're revealed. Happens every time those conditions are met.

Never had a mission not end that way and had the same conditions with reinforcements there (even unannounced) before meeting the target quite often, too. Really strange.
You wouldn't happen to be running any mods? I know the escort missions completely bug out for me when I'm using a fifth mech. There's always at least one vehicle that "doesn't see my mechs", and then just sits there the entire mission, forcing me to withdraw.
yes, I'm running mods. The mods I'm running add mechs, weapons, and gear.
Never happened to me, but there IS the.. whatever it was, withdraw, abort or something like that button.
You fail the mission, but that's no big deal in the long run.

Like, what was the mission, martian or lunar ambush? Where you start well behind the enemy and if they have fast mechs you can't catch them. So easy to fail I don't do that anymore because I don't like to fail, but failing by itself is no biggie.
straight up battle, "kill the lance, then kill the reinforcement lance."
killed all opposition, no enemies left alive, mmission won't emd. Generally occurs when reinforcment lance is very close to the primary enemy lance.
