Hello Battletech commanders.
I haaven't been palying battletech long and could use your expert advise.

2 tons is the difference on my mech of LRM20 and an LRM15... OR an LRM20 and an LRM10. The missle computer adds 2 to the accuracy.

So is it better to go with the LRM10 plus increased accuracy on the missles with the computer or just more missles with the LRM15. 30 accurate missles olr 35 normal missles.

Thanks
I go with more missiles. Use other mechs to wear down the bonus from moving then open up with missiles.
Thanks. I just don't know how the increased accuracy changes the number of missles that hit. That is how many more would hit.

The hit chance shown in combat with LRMs is rolled per missile. So, if you're considering going from 30 -> 35 missiles per salvo, then you would on average get 3-4 more missiles to hit per salvo, for very normal hit chance ranges, with that +2 TTS. It's probably better to go with the LRM15 instead of the LRM10. Incidentally, you probably noticed that LRM15s weigh 7 tons, while 10s weigh 5 and 20s weigh 10. If heat is not a huge concern for you, LRM15s are the most efficient rack size available, so they provide an additional benefit. (ie LRM20 + LRM10 = 15 tons, 30 missiles. 2xLRM15 = 14 tons, 30 missiles. Though the 10 and 20 generate slightly less heat per missile, that usually won't be your main concern with your LRM boat)

But back to your TTS question, plainly. If your pilots are very skilled, more missiles is better than accurate missiles. If your pilots are very unskilled, improved accuracy is better than number of tubes. Once you start fielding large 'Mechs with heavy loadouts, you'll probably find that a +3 TTS is always worth using in your missile boat, since you'll have 60-80 LRMs per salvo anyway, once you're using Stalkers or Highlander 733s as your missile boats.
Thanks that's the info I was looking for
