Apparently this is a problem with the GOG DOSbox. I found it in the victory animation, but it may happen elsewhere. When you beat a city (or when any animation plays) do not hit the space bar or the game may lock up.

Correct, does anyone know how to get out of it besides ending game dosbox?

I'm looking for more maps of "Battles od Destiny. Been playing it for years with a friend and against the computer.AI. It is a great game that has been over looked. Lamplighter2000.
