Hi

New to both gog.com and dosbox that the games seems to open in so bear with me if it is a stupid question.

After end turn in Battle isle history line it wants me to push F1 to switch to the computers turn, but if i use my F1 button and internet page opens and my computer jumps out of the game.

How can i proceed to the opponents turn?

Haven´t tried the other games Battle isle, Battle isle II and III but would probably have the same problem there.

hope someone can help me out:0)

I just tried History line (and BI1)

In both games F1 did what it was supposed to. I installed, out of the installer (after it finished) I ran both games and F1 was NOT opening an internet game.

Do you use the launcher supplied by GOG? F1 IIRC is used by normal dosbox for help.

AND, just to be save ;) : Do you use Windows (7,8,10???) or Linux with wine?

Is it a laptop keyboard?

It's a bit of a long shot, but it might be one of those which has a Function key that toggles various other options for some keys. You might have to hold down the Function key to get the normal F1 button effect in this case.

Yes i am using a brand new laptop with windows 10 installed so that might work will give it a try.

The funktion key would that be the fn key next to the windows key?4

And yes i am using the launcher from GOG

That will be the one - hold it and press F1.

I can get the game to run ok but can't get my pieces to move. Which mouse buttons/keyboard keys do I use?

There is combat mode and movement mode, when player 1 has movement, player 2 has combat mode. With F1 you end turn after both players have decided to end it.
When in movement mode, click on the unit and move the mouse up, you then will see a grid where you can move.
