Hay there,

first off, sorry for my english, isn't my native Language:)

I have a strange Issue with Battle Isle 2 (similar to this one [url=Battle Isle 2 unplayable]http://www.gog.com/en/forum/battle_isle/battle_isle_2_unplayable[/url]) when i play in Training Mode. If i attack with a Unit, for Example Ranger vs Demon, they just Kill each other completely. I loose all 10 Units and the KI as well. Same for Technotrax vs Technotrax and so on... this does not happen on Easy, Normal and Expert. I also tried the Training with the Scenery Disc and there it just works fine.

Can anyone confirm this Bug? Any Solutions how to fix this?

When did you downlaod the game? There was an issue with the copy protection in the original download. Try redownloading it.

Apart from that I have no idea...

Thanks for the Advice SimonG, i downloaded it again, but still the same Issue. I also installed Battle Isle Platinum on my second PC and same Issue there. Am i really the only one with this Bug/Problem?

I just tried it myself, it is a double kill if I send tanks against tanks. But not if I send rangers against tanks, then I lose all the rangers and the enemy only a couple of tanks. If I then engage the tanks with fresh tanks of my own, the enemy gets destroyed, while I survive.

So 'I don't think it's a bug of the GOG release, jsut some bad programming on BB part. But those were the first 5 minutes I have played BI 2 at all, so I don't know what it's supposed to be like...

For the moment I would suggest playing on easy, as I have no other clue ...

Thanks for trying:) Its definitely not bad programming, i had the Original Battle Isle 2 years ago and never had that Bug. I think its something with the Copy Protection. I hope i hear from a GOG Supporter here, so they can confirm this:)

This issue can be resolved quite easily: Just replace the BATTLE2.EXE that comes with the GOG-version with the one from the floppy version.

Works like a charm and all weird copy-protection bugs are eliminated!

Maybe it would be agood idea to update the installer package or provide a patch for all who have already downloaded their copy...
