Aww... no Battle Chess Enhanced? I remember some funny stuff from that one, especially the tutorial. Oh well, I'll be buying this anyway. :)
By the way, since the forum was empty before I posted, I was greeted with this message:
"Sniff, sniff... there are no topics in this forum." Cute, lol.

Ooohhh i had a lot of fun with this. I remember playing it on my Amiga,... took the computer quite a while to pick his move :P
oh boy... I remember this game. I played it long time ago on my Amiga 1200. I completly forgot about it and i'm glad that battle chess will be avalible on GOG soon. Must have for all chess lovers. Cheers
This is absolutely a must buy. Last time I played this was on my 386 :) Been looking for it from time to time without finding it. Nice to see it coming here :)
Recently found this on my PC, but I couldn't make it work very well :( It was slow and it froze after a bunch of moves - looking forward to buy the hopefully working version :)
What I will wonder about then.. Online play support would just be wicked :p
Loved this game in my 386 days too, but these days I kinda find it boring to play chess against the comp :(
This is one of the few games I miss from the 80's.
Wow, I still have the 5.25 floppy discs of this! I never would have expected this in a million years. The death animations were hilarious!
Loved this game. The knight vs. knight battle animation, with a nod to Monty Python, was definitely my favourite. With the other games thrown in, I cannot justify not buying this one. Can hardly wait :)
I only wish I was good at chess.
I remember seeing this game closer to it's release date, concept/idea was pretty cool.
hey you guys,
this is not enhanced edition, due to legal rights - we simply don't have it
but hope you'll find it interesting after all :)

Ouch! I thought that the Enhanced edtion was still under the same IP as the original. Man, I feel sorry for you guys at GOG for all the legal hoops you have to jump through just to get us these games. Don't worry, this is still worth it and I'll be buying it. ;)
thanks for kind words :)
cant wait to buy it missed it first time around as i dont think it was released on the atari st.

Woah boy! I didn't know this was an Interplay game! I used to play this game ALL the time as a kid. I even have the floppy disk still AND the manual. But you can guarantee yourself I'll be buying this version considering I haven't had a computer with a floppy drive in YEARS and DOS games don't like running on Vista none so much.
This is what GOG is all about :-D
