DCT: maybe the source of the troubles is that you think it's GOG and their policies that have kept the linux version from showing up and not WB games or Super giant not giving GOG the Linux version.. Keep in mind GOG has 0 control over what versions they have the rights to sell that is entirely up to the rights holders so if WB didn't give GOG the rights or a copy to the Linux version they can't make it available.
BezZeMad: While that is indeed true, it would be nice if GoG gave us an official statement on the subject; if WB have said to GoG they can't sell the Linux version that is fine (upsetting, but a decision on the part of the publisher), currently GoG haven't said anything about it and therefore we don't know what the reason is. Telling us we can't have something is perfectly acceptable as long as they tell us the reason (then we can make our own minds up as to whether that is a fair decision or not)
EDIT: Even saying we are not allowed to tell you the reason is better than just staying quiet about it.
I agree that would be nice but realistically speaking it's rare for a company to make any comment on such matters let alone a simple "we can't say anything" so expecting GOG to be somehow different in that regard is just wishful thinking, sure they often tell us more then most places but the fact is even a "no comment" stirs the rumor mill and raises even more questions from the peanut gallery and yes saying nothing at all does the same, it's a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation and as I said in business it's far better to be damned for not saying anything then it is to be damned for saying something even a "no comment"
As for GOG saying "Hey we would like to give you the Linux version but WB won't allow it" what do you think will happen then? People will get up in arms and complain and WB's rep is tarnished even more and GOG looks bad because it was them who said something about the matter.
