Masseker: The same here.
Manual install, it works fine. Galaxy install crashes on launch. Posted to the Galaxy bug tracker.
I got a black screen after i start the exe file. Then i have to restart my pc, through the hard restart button on my PCcase.

win7 x64
40GB RAM
Tri-X R9 290

I downloaded the setup file after buying the game. Then started the setup. Classic way.
Even Tytian 2000 is working fine after the same method of installing.
Thanks a lot for a solution. It wouldn't have crossed my mind
I experienced the same thing with GOG Galaxy, it wouldn't start up. About to install the game manually.
Go to the install folder of Bastion, There should be a folder "_redist" with 3 folders in it, run the installers you might need (probably XNA and maybe .net3.5). After that it did start for me.

Thanks, this worked for me. Thought it is a Win 10 Pro x64 issue.
Been playing about six hours just fine, and suddenly I can't open it/launch it. When I try, windows try to find a solution to the problem (which of course it dosen't). Any ideas?

Please update Bastion on GOG to the latest version because it doesn't se my Xbox 360 controller on Win 8.1 Pro. I''ve installed a pirated version to make it work, it's not fair.
hello folks,

Amokhunter's clue was the right one for me too... just had to reinstall the XNA thing after Bastion's Galaxy install (immediately crashed when doubleclicked), after then the game started & worked fine. (Win8.1 x64)
Thanks Amokhunter! That did the trick for me too. I already had XNA 4.0 but apparently the game needs the 3.1 version in the __redist folder (that's all I had to install to get things working. YMMV).

Whee!
