My village is slowly dieing out of old age. There is plenty of food and everything and lots of houses, but for some reason they are not making babies! What's going on?
You say you have lots of houses, but are those houses free for young people to move in and have kids? At a certain age people will stop having kids and a house might be inhabited by an elder couple unable to have kids.

Someone suggested to build houses constantly, every year, in order to have a sustained growth. If you stop building houses, young people don't have where to move in and marry and eventually the population will grow old.

Hope this helps you in any way.

Mariws: build houses constantly
Something I've read about is that young people going to school (ages 10-20) are likely to find partners. However, they won't move out of their house (=won't have kids) unless the house is closer to school for BOTH of them.

Not sure how true that is anymore, but it seems to be the case with my guys (built a school in a central location, houses on the outskirts, no one's reproducing until they're 30ish -.-)

Don't know how things are in Poland but that's a very accurate description of how things go currently in Romania. :) Maybe the message the game is trying to send is deeper than i thought. :D
One other thing: too many houses (more than young couples can fill) and you start getting divorces.
