It always crashes when I try to leave a table. I click ESC to leave the table and I get "DUKE.DDP has stopped working." I click the close button and get the same error. Since it doesn't keep me from using the game and the scores do save properly, it's not a big issue. It does get rather annoying though. I try other tables and get similar crashes.

I also notice that, for whatever reason, the master volume constantly decreases whenever I open the options in the launcher. I don't know if the problems are related or not but I figured I'd add that. I'm more concerned with the crash upon exiting the table though.

Forgot to mention. I'm using AMD graphics (Catalyst 13.4) and Windows 7 64 bit. The same problem occurs with newer AMD hardware running Windows 8 as well. I haven't tried it on Intel hardware to see if it's a conflict with Catalyst drivers.

It seems that the problem is made worse with the launcher. If I run bos.exe directly, I don't get stuck with a crash after leaving a table. The game still crashes but the game doesn't lock up the computer. Unfortunately, that isn't a solution as you then get low resolution rainbow colors instead of high-quality looking tables.

Anyone? If there are any logs that would be good in diagnosing the problem or some ancient retro-gamer secret that would help, I'd appreciate it. :)

I'm sorry, I don't know any ancient secret to fix this. I'm just posting to second what you said. I've only tried the game a few times and am getting the exact same problems you've mentioned. I've been searching all over for a solution and can't find a thing. I'm running Windows 8 and have Intel Integrated Graphics :(.

Best workaround for the master volume glitch, I've discovered, is to select it (left-click) then continuously hold the 'up' arrow key whilst using the mouse to exit the menu. This will ensure the volume stays at max if that's what you wish. Sorry, I know that's not a fix, but it's the best I can come up with now, until some wise old pinball sage can help us out ;)

There's always something eh? Lol. Would be nice for a change to just fire a game up and not have to visit the forums straight away. Every time.

I'll keep looking for a solution. In the meantime, if you find one, would you mind posting it please? If I find a fix first, I'll be sure to do the same.

I tried contacting support and I didn't get anywhere with that. It crashed regardless of what programs were started, if I used Safe Mode or not, or even if I booted it on other computers. Good luck! I hope you can get it working properly.

Thanks. Yeah I've tried all the standard stuff: clean-boot, disabling everything etc.
From what you've just said about it being iffy on other computers as well, it sounds like it's just a buggy game, sadly :(
I also have Windows 8 and the same problem... >_<
I'm having the same crashing problem when exiting tables.
Running Win7 64 bit

I'm also having terrible horizontal tearing issues.
Perhaps if bosloader or Balls of Steel could be opened up, we might have a better chance of resolving these issues.
