Heya!

I'm looking for the original games to play, not the EE ones. But I can't find them anywhere. I read something in one of the sticky posts about them being included in the EE versions, but I couldn't find anything to confirm this when reading about the game here on GoG. Is this true though? Are the original games included in the EE version? And is it truly the original, untouched by Beamdog?

Yes, if you buy the EE here, you'll get the keys for original versions as well (if you don't own them already). You can find them by clicking on the game in your library, choosing More and then Keys. You'll get also all of the bonuses that came with the original versions before EE were released.

You'll get keys even if you already own the originals. Use them for gifting?

I had the originals before buying EE. I do have the keys, but they're labeled BG EE. I thought these are maybe for BG EE multiplayer purpose, but apparently I was wrong.

Yeah, it says "enhanced" but it's not. GOG strikes again with its dippy naming.
Follow up question: Do I get a key for the original game on Steam as well? I own BG2 EE on Steam.

Unfortunately not. GOG is currently the only digital distribution platform, where you can get the original versions.

It is held hostage by Beamdog. You have to pay for their rotten remake in order to get the good version of the game.

if I understand, even having the original game on disc, we have to buy EE to play ?

If you already have the originals you don't need the enhanced at all. Beamdog got the originals exclusively bundled with their inferior product because they (the originals) were THE top sellers on GOG and this would have seriously dented the sales of the lesser "mod" from Beamdog. Scumbag move.

There are no differences in the "games". Beamdog were not allowed to change the content of the games in any way. As for the eye candy, the enhanced have inferior blurry graphics. The other difference is platforms: the enhanced have compatibility with multiple.
