I know there are 8 in the game (1 each in str, int, dex, con, cha, and 3 wis). Where are they?

BG1 (since you didn't say):

CHA - Cave, Gnoll Stronghold map
CON - Black Alaric's cave, Lighthouse map
DEX - Barrel in Thieves Guild, Baldur's Gate city
INT - Ramazith's Tower, Baldur's Gate city
STR - Catacombs beneath Candlekeep, chapter 6
WIS - Lady's House temple, Baldur's Gate city
WIS - Catacombs beneath Candlekeep, chapter 6
WIS - Durlag's Tower

Hickory: BG1 (since you didn't say):

Not unless you cheat (though I believe they do work if you do).

No, but you get similar boosts to stats in Watcher's Keep (Machine of Lum).
