I've been seriously face palming harder than ever before in my gaming career. For some reason, I can't do any of the thieves guild quests. Every time I go into the main Thieves Guild they all turn hostile on me and attack. The guys who ask me for the password aren't hostile..... I was late doing the thieves quests and didn't go right when Niklos told me to in East Baldurs Gate. What have I done to make them all hostile???? I can't believe I just eliminated my access to such a large portion of the game. Is there any CLUA commands or any reverting that I can do to make sure the thieves guild quests go smoothly???? I hope this never happens to anybody because I played this particular save for like 3 days straight and now I'm gutted and lost all will to play.

Any help / insight is grateful...wish I could do these thieves quests..

I don't know about a console command but do you have any previous saves prior to the failure of the quest? Additionally, you don't say if you have actually done any jobs or where you are in the quest string.

Gamebanshee is the website I used if I ran into trouble and it might help you.

just finished quests for them and its only 3 quests

2 really really crappy ones
and one bigger one which involes you robbing a place.

nothing to write home about but you get eight thousand xp. still slaughtering them would bring you few xp anyway (at least 4500)

not much lore.

Okay thanks for the replies. I've come to terms with the fact that this play through I won't be doing any of the thieves stuff..thankfully my party is good :)

But I am still curious how I ended up in this situation with only one option.

Niklos never attacked me. When I first got to Baldurs Gate he told me to go into one of the houses but I left it and pretty much finished everything in the Gate besides killing the Iron Throne. I don't remember having a dialogue option for when Niklos first talked to me. The password guys guarding the entrances aren't hostile, and continue to ask me for the passwords. Only when I enter do they all attack me. I have a feeling it has something to do with one of the quests I took near the Blushing Mermaid/Splurging Sturgeon..maybe a certain quest aligns yourself against the thieves?

I'm going to ponder this for a while longer. I'd really like to know this for the next time I play through the game (When Baldurs Gate Enhanced comes out)

I guess next time I'll make contact with the thieves guild right away.

you probably killed or attacked a thief during your rampage through BG. also do you give correct password upon entering?
