Baldur's Gate: Siege of dragonspea

And

Faces of Good and Evil.

Are these two products stand-alone games or supplements for some other game in the series?

Siege of Dragonspear is an expansion for Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition. You need the full version to play it. The second is a DLC for BG EE as well, but It only contains six new portraits. It's not worth buying in my opinion. You can try SoD however.

One is a terribly, terribly written expansion (*laugh*) for the enhanced series, the other is a terrible portrait pack that has no originality to it: they're all based on known actors. There are plenty of portraits and portrait packs that you can get for free, or make them yourself.

Then it sounds like there's no point in buying either of them. That's good to know. Thanks.
