I'm trying to get this game to run properly on a Fujitsu Win 7 home premium 64 bit Laptop.
The game works fine, but often the whole screen just freezes/jumps. It doesnt seem to be a lag issue becasue the music still plays fine even while the screen freezes. I'll just be trying to walk somewhere and suddenly the screen freezes and my character has teleported 10 ft. away after the unfreeze. I know its not my system specs because I can play STALKER: Shadow of Cherynobyl on high settings with no lag. Any help would be appreciated. I am also running as Admin, and I have tried different resolution mods and compatability modes.

are there any containers in your inventory?
you know, bag of holding or scroll/potion/quiver/gem bags or anything that falls under container category.
the common issue of modded BG is that having too many containers in inventory is causing the game to freeze-and-go constantly in a 4-5 seconds intervals.
at least that's what's happening to me and the solution was to leave only one container in inv, I'm still experiencing some CTD related to containers but that's the other story probably.

I get a similar kind of behavior where the frame rate of the game doesn't appear to be constant and _skips!_, But it only happens when I play the game in 'Window' mode.

In Fullscreen the game is running fine, so is the game skipping even on fullscreen on your laptop?.

Yes it skips on fullscreen. Havent tried it in windowed mode, but I might try it to see if it meses up there as well.

If you are playing Baldurs Gate 2 main game (to either run BG1 via BGT or TUTU), have you tried changing the rendering settings for the game in the game's configurator!..toggle OpenGL vs software!.

Can you put laptop on maximum power usage to AC plug point and check if happens in the game! (weird suggestion)

Have you tried disabling 3D acceleration in the video options?
