Hello all,
I've been slowly but surely playing through this great game over the last 8 years or so.

I've got to the point where I'm satisfied with my character. I'm currently in Baldur's gate investigating the iron throne.
I play with hardcore rules and if someone dies(chunked), then they are dead and I move onto a new character in the party.
My character is name Abbayarra and is a half-elf.
He is currently a level 6 cleric and level 5 mage with 39 Hitpoints and a base -3 AC while being able to cast.

My party consists of:
Ajantis - Paladin
Coran - Fighter/Thief
Imoen - Mage/Thief - currently 6 and 6
Yeslick - Fighter/Cleric
Kivan - Ranger

My equipment are as follows:
Morning Star + 1
Sling +1
Robe of the good archmage
Gauntlets of Dexterity
Medium Shield + 1 (yes, cleric mages can cast mage spells while using a shield in this game)
Ring of wizardry
Ring of holiness
Boots of Avoidance
Girdle of Bluntness
Cloak of Non-Detection
Helm of the Balduran
Amulet of Protection

I'm trying to get the rest of the way through the game but I find Baldur's gate itself a bit of a maze. I am also thinking if I should restart and do it again with the latest patches/last time I played was 2014).
This is by far and away my favorite character to play. I've tried illusionist, ranger, and bard.

Tell me what you guys think, restart and go through all the areas I know so well, or push on?

Also, about how much more playtime would you say is left? I tend to be detail oriented, checking everything and going everywhere. I still have quite a few areas I've not cleared out.

If it takes 8 years to get to Baldur's gate it will probably take another 8 years to get to Amn. Bruh, you need some boots of speed.

Yeah, 55 hours of work a week over the last 15 years does that to you play time.
