Lol, thanks for the link. I can feel the hype boiling inside my veins.
Btw, for a brief moment, we can see the code. It is written in C++ and it is windows only :(

:) I've been using Links as a nick, handle, charname, etc. since the late eighties. If it causes a bit of resonance when I post a URL, imagine what it was like for other players when I played Ingress :P Yep. I'm already thinking of the cameos and revisited locations that could conceivably appear and I feel goosebumps.

Did I read correctly that Larian has now over 350 people on staff and that they are promising a 100+ hour game? Holy Mystra I can't wait to put my eyes on it...
If they had said "it's at least X years from release" I would be cool, but the possibility (no matter how small) of it being released this year is driving me nuts.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Let's see in what direction they decided to go. Btw, that sword spinning looked silly to me.

I'm also excited about the game! :) Larian is one of three studios capable of developing a good BG3 game. It's good that they acquired the rights to make it. WotC has chosen wisely. Can't wait to see the gameplay as well!

100+ hour? Oh dear GOD! I already spend double (triple?) time on the BG series. I read every book I find, I try every possibility and draw diagrams and take notes on my gaming notebook (paper notebook which you write with a pencil). 100+ means 250 hours for me and ... That one may have to wait till my retirement hehe.

The people I know didn't have good reviews for the novels and comics based on Baldur's Gate series so I didn't touch them. How about you? Are there any good ones you can recommend that would enhance the lore?

I heard the novels were terrible, so I didn't read them. As for the comics, a few pages into the first issue, I closed it and haven't gotten around to finishing it. It's not that I think it's bad (I haven't read enough to say if it is or isn't), I just keep procrastinating.

The PC Gamer community found something interesting in the teaser. In 1:13 there's an Illithid spaceship visible on the sky (screenshot below)! This means BG3 will incorporate some elements of Spelljammer setting. That's really interesting! :)
