Just curious if there is still a community that plays this multiplayer? I have been looking around for one on this game and IWD2.

I think you'll find multiplayer is pretty much just friends that get together and play it that way. I'm not aware of any kind of organized community for mulitplayer, anyway.

Yeah, they aren't really the kind of games you usually play with randoms, so people do tend to play with friends, but GameRanger is a common choice of where to play -- as I type this, there are currently playing: 1 game of BG1, 2 games of BG2, and 1 game of BG2:ToB.
That said, there is a thread in the GameRanger forums with BG* players seeking other likeminded players.
