In a nutshell: rolled a bard, picked Khalid and Jaheira, then went straight to Nashkel, so everyone's lvl 1, there can be no scaling involved. However, Minsc joined ready to level up - to lvl 6 no less! Is this a bug? I've upgraded the game as suggested in the "Enhance the gameplay" thread plus added the NPC project mod if it's relevant.

I dunno what happened but that's clearly not intended...

Sounds like the old UB bug but post your Weidu list.

It's a bug with BGT - you can use shadowkeeper (or the console maybe) to reset him to level 1 and maybe a few experience points. (I know the console can: SetCurrentXP("150") for example but I don't know if it can set a different level - reducing XP by itself won't delevel you).

edit: at least I thought it was BGT - ussnorway thinks it's a UB bug,... hmm, (I think I always had both installed after my first playthrough).

UB and npc use some of the same variables and these parts should be dropped from the UB when npc is also used;

To be fair this forum post is quite old and does assume Tutu but since BGT has the same engine it's a safe bet that the same bugs apply to a BGT install.

This is from memory but I think the Minsc level 6 bug is caused because when the game checks your level to determines which Minsc's characters to use the other smaller ones have been overridden… the only work around I'm aware of is to wait longer before recruiting him.

Maybe you could just kill Minsc with ctrl+y and then CreateCreature("Minsc1.cre") (or whatever the name is for the level 1 Minsc creature file - can't check as I'm at work right now).
