I'm playing Baldur's Gate 1 on 1280x768 resolution, which is the highest i could go with the GUI mod, but i have a 1920x1080 screen. Is there a way to stretch it to fit without causing too much distortion? I don't want it to look too stretched or something. I probably have no idea what i'm talking about though :P. If what i'm asking for is impossible then ignore this.

What a horrible resolution to play BG on. <shudder>

Anyway, BG's native resolution for all of it's hand built graphics is 5:4, so even though it's stretched, 1280x768 (which is 5:3) is not going to present too much trouble. However, 1920x1080 is 16:9 and is going to stretch things horribly -- I have a 1920x1080 monitor, but I've never used the widescreen mod, because anything above 1024x768 looks awful, and that is supported without the widescreen mod, just by using the supplied BGConfig.exe program.

1280x768 is the highest resolution for a 16:9 screen that the GUI mod will accept :(. I think i figured it out anyways. Is there no better way to play vanilla BG1 then to resort to easytutu? BG1 is too small on my screen :/.

I don't understand your reluctance to install TuTu or BGT. After all, you want a better experience and are prepared to install an unnecessary widescreen mod. You would be getting all of the other BG2 engine benefits, too. Unless it's because you don't have BG2?

I like to get as close to a vanilla experience as i can on my first run through a game. I'm not 100% sure if tutu or BGT provide that. I'll look into them more. Thanks.

I can understand that, but the game is the same if you don't install third party mods and tweaks, or don't use editors to cheat. Yes, there are superior items technically available, but they're not in the default (non modded) game.

That's a load of rubbish.
BG2 engine improves many things, but it is not the same game as the vanilla.

To make 1280 x 768 fit your 16:9 monitor.
right click on your desktop to bring up the nvidia control panel.
click on adjust desktop size & position
Under Scaling, select "full screen". And "perform scaling on display".

Oh, way to go on explaining that outburst. I'm not suggesting for one moment that it's a carbon copy, that would be damn foolish, and if I was, you would have every right to call it rubbish.
