Stig79: I wasn't arguing that nobody should do anything about it. Far from it. But asking Beamdog to unbundle it might work just as well as asking Hasbro about it.
plan99: Nice excuse to do nothing. Actually, you're STILL arguing against doing the only thing that MIGHT help. Do it or don't. If you do nothing, you've already lost and have no right to complain.
I'll tell you an old story I heard long ago. A woman was walking through an alley at night and was attacked and stabbed. She screamed for help and people in the buildings around opened their windows to see what was going on. The woman was stabbed again while these people watched from above. She kept screaming and these people just kept watching. They did nothing - they were all too afraid to do anything. Not a single one thought to yell or throw things to scare away the attacker or to call the police or to gather together with whatever they could find and chase the attacker away. If just one had done something, the others probably would've followed their lead. The problem is, they were all waiting for someone ELSE to make the first move, so no one did anything. The woman was stabbed several more times before she died. They did NOTHING and NOTHING changed. Actually, things probably got worse in their area of town and they probably complained about it.
"If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice"
-- Rush (I forget the name of the song)
I don't know why you seem so afraid to contact Hasbro. Can it hurt so much? No, it isn't the same as contacting Beamdog - there's zero chance there. If enough people tell Hasbro they're voting with their wallets on EVERYTHING Hasbro related, as ValamirCleaver said in the post I linked to above, who knows. Do you really expect anyone to believe that's no better than contacting Beamdog? Again, do it or don't but quit arguing or complaining here if you're NOT. GOING. TO. DO. ANYTHING. If you insist on doing nothing and continuing to argue and complain, do it somewhere else.
IIRC the Rush song is called "Free Will". Also I don't think anyone here was trying to argue that no one should do anything. Just pointing out that it would be more effective to pester Beamdog than Hasbro for the same reason it makes more sense to pester your supervisor about changing your shift than it does to write corporate headquarters.
