Hello guys,

i bought bg1 and bg2 EE, as my olds cds are just too old to be played, of course i want to play the original versions, i mean i really want to play them because the news one are not translated in french, and lacks french voices.... (at this point you understood i'm french, right?)

Do you know how to download the original versions ?
When i bought the EE versions yesterday, it was mentionned that it includes the originals versions, now that i've downloaded everything i can only start the EE versions....

Please help me out.

I don't know how it works with Galaxy.
But on the browser you look at the game in your library
Move your mouse over the bottom right hand corner until you see the down arrow.
Then "View Downloads" > "More" > "Serial Keys"
And then redeem the code for the original version.
If that doesn't work, use your right hand to throw salt over your left shoulder, and turn around three times.

Found it, had to redeem the serial key on gog from a browser (not working with the app), Howewer it seems that i canot redeem the key for BG1 original version as it's " out of stock " nice move gog selling me an out of stock key... asked for a refund, hope the support reply to me.

Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga (the Classic Edition of the game) gift code in now available in the "more" -> "serial keys" section.

seriously though, you'd rather play a 20 yo release? could get your English in some shape 10 times over since then...

Of course, i believe that you understand what nostalgy is, right? And no, it's unavailable as i said before i could only redeem for BG2.

being nostalgic over a *bunch of bits and bytes* is even more sad than a european without sufficient English to play BG

it's not a girl nor a childhood friend or some such

which one you're nostalgic about? v1.00001 or v1.0002?

Contact GOG support. Store page still says the Enhanced Edition purchase includes the Original Saga. They should be able to help you out.

I can think of a few things that are sadder. For example, people who think they have the right to tell others how they should feel, what they should like or which version they should play. I feel really really sorry for them. I wish such people to get the mental help they desperately need.

Yes done that already, but due to covid outbreak the auto-reply said i could take weeks until the support process my request.
