I have played a half hour. I don't have allot to say, as I haven't played much. But, something that stands out is fighting camera controls. It's a constant move to follow my character, spin to see what is going on in the area, etc...

Also, I have hundreds of GoG games. I exited the game and got a suspicious activity log from Norton, and I have no issues with other games. I'm not sure its related, but I haven't seen it before. Will monitor.

Yes, I too feel camera needs more tweaking. Default keybinds don't really help neither. Using the left hand on the right part of he keyboard to use Delete and End keys to rotate camera is rather weird. I remaped the rotate camera buttons on Q and E and remaped the one that was on E on Z. Even so, it's still somehow clunky and difficult to use.

What does middle mouse click do?
I haven't got the game, I'm just curious, some games click and hold middle mouse rotates the camera.

Yep, middle mouse button rotates the camera. It works the same as the divinity original sin 2 camera/controls.
I've noticed some camera issues too. Sometimes (usually in battle) the camera will get stuck and no longer remains focused on the player. I can still zoom in/out and rotate the camera, but it doesn't track the the character which can be bothersome when moving about in battle. Pressing the Home key refocuses, but I'm not sure why it gets stuck in the first place.
One feature I would really like to see is the ability to not only rotate the camera, but also tilt up and down to change the viewing angle similar to the camera control in NWN. As much as I love the DoS games, that was always something I felt I should be able to do and drove me nuts that I couldn't have that level of control over the camera.

YAS! This! You cannot tilt the camera up and down and it doesn't allow to see your character properly sometimes. Since you can't tilt it, the angles sometimes are really awkward and the view angle is a really bad one, no matter how much you rotate around it.

I have to agree that the camera setup and options to set it up the way you want it are of the utmost importance. Thats one of the few things that can sink a great game and make it unplayable. I have not tried the beta yet but im def happy they are doing a BG3, i just hope it lives up to the series stellar reputation. Id also like to see it reviewed by the forum community persons that have played RPG's both now and early on,at least in the 80's, have tabletop experience and can give us a thorough feel for the game.
i7 7700HQ 2.80ghz 16g ram GTX 1050ti

Game ran like areally tired dog.

It is a beautiful looking game though, great dialogue and choices

The dice rolls onscreen were unappealing and too frequent.
is a german sound for the voices planed?

if not it will dissapoint me
The Home key re-centers the camera also. It is pretty difficult to try and manipulate the camera and your party continually. I am not having much fun so far just struggling through content that I don't enjoy with NPCs I don't want to adventure with but I can't solo anything.
I played it for three hours and aside from the obvious animation glitches I didn't find that much to complain about. The camera is a little annoying at times but you adapt, what really pissed me off however was the clunky character swapping system.
I understand that they didn't want you to be able to swap dudes all the time but as it is now you need to tell dude A to leave your party and THEN rest to be able to swap in dude B, why not allow you to do both at camp?

I like the dice rolls, but I think that should be optional.

My most recent dice roll game was Solasta, I don't think it was optional but it was more discrete, small print top of screen type of thing..

But BG3 you chose the option, the dice appears , you have to click, wait for the roll and then click again to remove it...now, my elf had 17 DEX, I got a DEX check, did the dice roll thing...and roll a 3 and failed the check..
While I will mention some issues below, I can assume that most of the issues will be resolved eventually and the game will become smoother eventually.

But I wanted to talk about first impressions of the game. The feel of the game is definitely Divinity with DnD5 rules laid over the top. Barrels with string/rope inside (for crafting?) and apples bread etc, just like OS2. Clams on the edge of the sea to pick up (deju vu with the sea and claims. All we need here is pet pal and red lizard). (you have to mouse over most items on the ground, the highlighter key only works on containers/corpses) From the size of the file, I am getting the feel that Larian has went with quantity as opposed to other things like making things 'tight and right' or things like 'atmosphere'. Again, this is in development, so some of the issues can be addressed still and I'll not leave a bad rating now for a development title. The feel of the game being a DivinityOS game with DnD5 on top isn't something that is going to be fixed though. For some (who knows, maybe most) that might be ideal.

Ok, the issues I'd assume will get better:

Yes, I am getting that too. I'll have more time this weekend, but I've played ten hours or so now (haven't gotten very far, I like to look around and take my time). It running like a tired dog is accurate. It runs, mostly ok, but it feels like it's struggling. Time to set Visuals down. (I've tried Vulcan and Direct)

Camera issues are better, after changing some keymapping around and getting used to it. Still it's not good. You can't look up, you can't see things higher than you without moving the camera, adjusting the zoom, panning to make sure that Branch isn't blocking your vision, then center it back on your character and pan/zoom there.

Panning by mouse at screen edge doesn't work during combat so you have to resort to camera moves using middle mouse (or keymap it). Panning by mouse is a crap shoot, sometime it works but when you load the game again, it doesn't. Sometimes the box in options isn't saved and going back into options helps, but sometimes it has no effect.

Still getting Suspicious Behavior when I run the game, stopped by Norton. Obviously Larian is trying to obtain data to help with game development. Norton gives me zero issues with GoG games and I have over 300. It's stopping legitimate concerns here.
