I second Imoen. She's a calm, practical, down to earth sort of character. Dependable from start to finish. Seemingly vulnerable, but even after enduring terrible torture she soldiers on. You'd think she'd be another character who won't stop whining about it - but no. Other than a mere mention every now and then she shrugs it off and keeps going. It happened. Deal with it. She can mope or she can forge ahead. Every other character does both. They'll forge ahead kicking and screaming even though few if any have it as rough as Imoen. Imoen forges.

It doesn't hurt that she's one of the most reserved characters in the game. While everyone else is screaming their heads off about "Buttkicking for goodness!!" or some such depravity =P Imoen's all "Whatcha want?" XD

I loved Imoen's character. She's just a great girl, playful but when things get tough she's behind you always. I recomend to at least play once the mod "Imoen's Romance" by Lord Mirrabo. It has it's own quirks, but damn if it's a great mod because of the amount of Imoen related content. It's just the SoA portion of the game though, never was a ToB release of it.

Hard choice between Minsc and Cespenar for me.

"No effect? I think I need a bigger sword."

"You have hammer? Bhaal once drop hammer on big godly toe. Jump around and swear for days he did. Kicked poor me all the way to Baator. Very bad week, that."

I never tried any mods or Imoen's Romance. What does she do when she finds out he's her brother and it's too late?

Xzar. Hilarious quotes and excellent voice acting.

For some reason i like many characters...

- Minsc & Boo - You point, I punch! Very funny duel!
- Imoen - Such a sweet girl!
- Xan - Reminds me of Hicks in ''Aliens'' movie!!
- Irenicus - Great villain!
- Bodhi - Fine lady...
- Drizzt Do'Urden - Such a badass dude!

The first time I played the game years ago, was Korgan from BG2, actually re-playing the game with mods, etc. is Imoen.

Quite a few, but I do like Jaheira myself. She is a F/D multi-class, which I love, as it combines a good mix of capabilities, i.e. fighting and spellcasting prowess. She has a good back-story and of course eventual hook-up, and I also like her BG2 battle cries.

I also like Keldorn for his Inquisitor kit (just needs Gauntlets of Dexterity), and his rugged, battle-scarred persona (and avatar).

Aerie is a bit whiny, but a C/M with the Robe of Vecna (and even better with the Amulet of Power) is a badass spellcaster. Plus you can hook up with her. So there's that.

And of course Edwin for his pure dickishness...and those extra spells are nice, too.

For me it is definitely Jon Irenicus with Imoen as a close second.

I love Irenicus in all his voiced lines, which are most of them. Writing-wise and appearance-wise, Irenicus isn't all that memorable. But when David Warner voices him, he somehow transcends every stereotype and becomes this larger than life villain.

I liked Aerie, at least in theory. It was nice for a change to have character in that series who wasn't an adventurer from the word go, and I hoped that there would be some interesting potential for character development as she experienced more of the types of shenanigans that adventurers are regularly involved in but would seem incredibly outlandish to anyone else. Sadly, I never finished the game, so I have no idea if the game went in that direction with her character.

Easily Edwin. Dude's hilarious. My personal favourite quote from him is in response to the warning about the murderer in the Bridge district:

"Yes, we've survived mercenaries, the Flaming Fist, and Sarevok himself only to perish at the hands of a sneak-thief with an overfondness for human flesh. Excellent deduction."

My favourite party is Minsc, Aerie, Korgan, Edwin, and Jan. That gets you some interesting conversations, heh.

Poor Aerie. As if the poor girl weren't traumatized enough XD

At least Edwin eventually adds some much needed estrogen into that lineup.
