since hotfix 12 the camera goes nuts when fighting a harpy {Druid grove} because Larian changed the way lure song works

anyway the work around is to disable the Dynamic camera until the fight is finished

Hello ussnorway,

I've noticed that you're posting a lot of threads with the same title. Please post the bugs in one, single thread or at least point in the subject what bug you have in mind. This will make the Baldur's Gate forums a better place. :)

what?

is it possible to merge these all together into a single thread... [and \ or] move them to the new BG3 forum to keep them all in one forum?

by stubbornly spamming this forum you not only posting in the wrong one, but also breaking the age old netiquette rule of making descriptive topic titles. Whatever you think of where these reports should go you can't weasel your way around the fact that this copypaste cloning is a mess and really should be nuked by the mods if they actually cared.

That's what.

What I meant to say was that you should at least precisely write the subjects of the threads, not limit them to a brief "Bug BG3". It's not possible to merge threads nor move them to other subforums unfortunately, but I'm glad that you suggested to move the discussion about bugs to BG3 subforum. It's a good idea.

can they be deleted then?

the plan I propose:
step 1 - delete the 13 bg3 posts from this forum

step 2 - open a new thread [where ever but i assume the bg3 forum] with whatever title you pick... something along the lines of "please place bugs in this forum"

I've passed the idea forward. As for the topic name, feel free to choose it yourself. :) Just let it be accurate enough. Feel free to send me a private message if you have any other questions or doubts.

to be blunt I already picked an accurate name; its a bug and it is about BG3
so I'll let you pick the new name and just place the new bugs there as they come in ;)

for the record I find about 50 so far with around 10 new ones each time the build is updated but I only post bugs here that fall into 3 categories;

is it game breaking?
does it have a work around?
has it not already been reported elsewhere?

The name may not be wrong, but it's not descriptive enough to filter on.

Suppose that user Joe also plays Baldur's Gate 3, and encounters a crash-to-desktop when completing a particular side-quest, but only on the latest patch. As a good beta tester, he wants to report the problem if it's not already known, but also would rather not write up a thorough and proper bug report[1] if someone else has already done so. Good bug reports take time to assemble. (Instead, he should add a note on the existing report that he sees it, and remark on any significant differences between his crash and the reported one.) Thus, Joe heads off to the GOG Baldur's Gate forums to check to see if someone else has already reported his problem. (We'll assume he can find your posts here even though this forum is for Baldur's Gate 1 and Baldur's Gate 2, and GOG has a separate forum for Baldur's Gate 3.) Joe finds you have not one or two, but more than a dozen bug reports. Then he notices they're all titled "Bug Bg3". Are any of them about his particular crash? He'll need to open and read all of them to find out. If instead you had made full use of the subject line, he could quickly filter out reports that are obviously different from his crash bug. It's useful if you report a bug where the game refuses to recognize a quest as done, but that's not a crash bug, so he doesn't even need to read a thread titled "Bug BG3: Storyline does not advance to Chapter 3".

[1] With steps to reproduce, links to any error logs the game produced, and preferably a savegame that can be loaded to put the player in the right place to immediately trigger the crash.

1. Joe is on Gog so posting bug reports is pointless i.e, Larian studios only cares about Steam and doesn't read posts here or allow posting on their discord about bugs... good luck getting a verify email for their forum by the way

2, yes there is a bg3 on Gog NOW but there wasn't one back when this game come out and Joe is welcome to look on the Bg3 but will not find any bug reports there so search away... the results are the same regardless of post names anyway

3 most important, I have already offered to delete these bug reports from this forum and I have also agreed to post future bug reports for bg3 where ever [and under whatever name Gog wants]... I can't delete these posts myself and there are zero forum rules in place to handle this scenario so what is the point?

imo its upto Gog now to say what the F they actually want to happen next but thanks for your feedback ;)
