I'm thinking of getting BG1 EE for my friend and I to play, but only if the multiplayer is solid and hassle-free. Any advice on this appreciated.

And as a side note, if anyone knows anything about Icewind Dale multiplayer (if it even has it) I'd love to hear about that as well.

Thanks.

I haven't played EE MP myself, but I heard it's super-easy and cross-platform. That said, in BG (standard edition, but I'm sure EE too), each player controls some characters and they can't go off the map on their own. So it can get a bit annoying. Some houses you can go into on your own, others you can't. And no major-map changes.

So in that respect, you may want to play Divine Divinity: OS or Neverwinter Nights to get a more fulfilling MP experience.
