Wasn't too hot about yet another launcher either, but game started fine and I played for 2 hours on the 9th. Game goes black screen and not responding since. uninstall and reinstall removing all config files didn't help either. Was using directx 11.

Win 7

Same here. Very annoying. I also tried to run the game as administrator and change the bg.exe file compatibility mode to Windows 7. Nothing helped.
Intel Core i7 quad-core, 6mb cache, up to 4.0GHz
16GB dual channel DDR 3L 1600MHz
NVidia GeForce GTX 980M with 4GB GDDR5
Windows 7 Professional with SP1.

I try to download the game manually without using GogGalaxy .
Will install without the patch. Will let you know ( it takes ages though).

I replied to you in another thread. Hold shift key while hitting play on the launcher and while the application starts. For some reason, it works.

Thanks maddog2020, pressing Shift while clicking Play works for me (Windows 7, Vulkan). Any idea why?

Note I also have "Run as administrator" turned on the bg3.exe binary, plus "Disable visual themes" and "Disable desktop composition" turned on, and running in Windows 7 compatibility mode. I don't think these things matter, but I'm not changing any of them in case it breaks again!

Only things I have done are win 7 compatibility on the exe and my user is an admin so everything runs as one anyway. I have no idea why, but it works.
