Hello, I've recently started playing BG2 EE but it seems Korgan's quest of finding the book doesn't progress. I didn't get any dialogue from him once we reached the tomb nor he said anything when we entered the already looted burial chamber.

I tried to speak with him, he just said we were close and that was it, I can't talk with him anymore.

Anyone knows how to get over with this bug? It's a huge let down to find such gamebreaking stuff still in the EE...

Are you using any mods? I've completed the EE and had Korgan's quest proceed as expected, so it's unlikely it's the game.

If you're using Galaxy, try disabling it and using the standalone version. For what it's worth, I did play using the standalone installers.

Also, if you adventure in other areas does Korgan start complaining that you're taking too long to do his quest? It's possible something broke when you recruited him and the quest didn't start properly. Is there any mention of it in your journal?

Lastly, although it shouldn't matter if he's also in the party, does bringing Edwin along advance the wizard's quest, or does it seem to be stuck as well?

I'm not using any mod, just fresh installed it.

He complained once before we got there, journal has the entry but didn't update once we were into the tomb. I don't have edwin yet. Korgan quest was basically the first one I did after getting out of Irenicus dungeon
There's supposed to be a mummy by the looted tomb. This unique mummy is spawn if Korgan is in the party, and it triggers two conversations there with Korgan, one upon seeing him and one when it's dead.

this is what I'm missing then
Hmm I can't see how that is not happening, as the appearance of the mummy (and two skeleton warriors) is scripted in the area script, and it's simply "IF [Korgan in party] THEN [spawn these guys]".

If you're still having this problem, try resetting the spawning variable by copying and pasting this command into the console, while having Korgan stay next to the looted tomb at the end of the dungeon:
