retsushi: So GOG do something about this!

Hickory: Why is this GOG's fault? There has been months and months for Beamdog to iron out release schedules.
Because I asked the same question directly to Beamdog. The main difference is that they answered the question, while GOG didn't said a word about the release.

From my understanding negotiation is still ongoing between GOG and Beamdog. Why were they able to get Steam on release day and not GOG I do not know.

When you have a store and you want to sell a certain items, you make sure to get it.

That is why I'm asking GOG to do something about this, make the agreement with Beamdog for the game.

Because I only buy my game from GOG, I support them, and want to buy the expension from GOG.

No they didn't. They gave a tellingly vague remark about being in limbo, and not being available on release day. If you really want an answer, get them to state WHY it isn't going to be available. Until that time, you cannot blame GOG. This is Beamdog's product. It is THEIR responsibility to make it available to outlets. Pester them.
They still answered, maybe you don't like their answer.

Still, I won't pester anyone about anything, but I will ask all evolved in bringing the game to me, the consumer.

A remark with the game in limbo is better than anything, because so far we had no clue the game could be coming to GOG.

To my knowledge, this is the first official remark on the subject.

No, they did *not* answer. They replied to a forum post. That is *not* an answer to why or when. It is no answer at all, just a brush off.

Ok if you say so!
It appears most of the gog loyal don't even like the EE so maybe gog doesn't see it as big of a priority to have it on release day. It is called good OLD games. Maybe after it has some age, some experience, it will be released on gog.
If you want to see "Siege of Dragonspear" on GOG, make sure to let GOG know by voting for it:

Well, this is unfortunate, but I guess it means I can wait and see how Siege of Dragonspear is received before deciding if I should wait for a sale or something.

I absolutely agree Hickory. It's Beamdog's game and I'm sure they could have worked something out with GOG like they did with Steam if they really wanted to. Otherwise, they would be throwing GOG to the wolves letting the world know they did everything possible to get the game on this platform rather than the vague answers they replied with.
Is it coming to GOG ?

Skysect: Is it coming to GOG ?
There is no official word about the release on GOG.

However, member of the staff replied on the official Baldur's Gate forum that SOD is likely to come to GOG, but no release windows is specified. They are in talk.

Also, when they now reply in their forum, they include the GOG platform. (Before they only mentionned Beamdog & Steam)

And lastly I contacted GOG directly about the game, their response was as vague as the one of Beamdog. In short, they can't comment on upcoming deals or release (or lack thereof), but they are doing everything they can to get the best contect possible.

My humble opinion, the game is coming to GOG. It is offical, no.
Amber Scott just said during Beamdog's stream on Twitch that SoD will be available on GOG today.
It has just been said on the Twitch stream (that is live to celebrate the release of SoD some hours from now) that today or tomorrow Siege of Dragonspear will come to GOG!
