I really enjoyed Baldur's Gate, but the soundtrack is missing all the tavern themes, which were some of my favorite tracks... it looks like this issue has come up before but I didn't spot a resolution. I'd rather avoid torrenting and scraping it off youtube with relatively poor quality. Is there, or will there be anything done about this?

No. Officially released OST does not include tavern songs, except for the theme for the Friendly Arm Inn.
