We are an online gaming magazine. We can be found here. We started last year and are slowly finding our brand and who we want to be.

We started off on the Beamdog forums, as we are all fans of Infinity Engines games and attempt to release issues other fans of those games will enjoy. That is the extent of our relationship with Beamdog.

Everyone who works on the magazine does so on a volunteer basis. We do not use advertising (either on our website or in the magazine itself), or promotional content (we will not accept free copies of a game for example - or allow another company to sponsor us. When I say affiliated, this is what I mean. It is a commerce term.). This allows us full creative control of our content.

Themes for each issue are chosen by the contributors. We attempt to be informative but not newsy. We also attempt to break away from other independent gaming sites might be talking about. For example, back in December, when everyone was in a Loot Box echo chamber, we were talking about Sound.

They clearly told THEY ARE BEAMDOG.

Ya, that's Chris's opinion, and he is allowed to have one.

The writing for SoD was hit and miss for me personally. I personally enjoyed how almost every quest had multiple endings and the combat was more challenging. The game however suffered from a lack of scope and focus. It was a project that started off as a small DLC, ballooned into a stand alone game and then was deflated back into a larger than originally planned DLC. If they spent their time just focusing on the product that was originally planned, I think it would have turned out much better. It wasn't a bad expansion and in my opinion is worth at least one play through. Pick it up on sale and give it a try if you haven't. Once again, that's my opinion, which differs from yours, and differs from semiticgod's. We're all allowed to have one.

Financially, "owner" of the magazine would be me. I poorly maintain all the accounts and website associated with the magazine. Typo_tilly and SFisch (when he's not busy) help with the planning, editing and production of the actual document. Anyone is allowed to submit an article to the magazine as long as it fits the submission guidelines. Our next issue (after the Fan Fic) is themed around Magic and are taking suggestions/submissions for it now till end of July. Everyone involved treats the magazine more like a hobby than anything else.

Everyone who does work on an issue of the magazine is listed in the table of contents. We're not really hiding anything.
