I was searching the net, and I came upon a PCWorld article about small things. Apparently BG3 is in development and Beamdog isn't even touching it. The article says Obsidian which would be brilliant, but it's not really known right now.

No, it wouldn't. Microsoft are on the cusp of acquiring them. XBox exclusive BG3? Pffft!

You do have a point there, unfortunately. Windows/XBOne exclusive isn't exactly great news, and with it being under MS you can forget seeing the game here on GOG.

Would NOT. Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2 are very average games.

Hmm, I have a mixed feeling about it. I have been rather disappointed with the new RPGs which supposedly are inspired by the old school RPGs. PoE was really average; Tyranny was much better but still, after the first act, it felt a bit flat and the expansion was pretty poor (not to mention it was bugged as hell). On the other hand, it would be really cool to revisit the Sword Coast...

10 years ago, I would have been jumping up and down on such news. But today, I just feel rather ambivalent about it.
