I don't know how reliable that article is, it's not a site I'm familiar with, but it suggests that someone who should know what they're talking about knows that BG3 is on the way and which studio is doing it, though he hasn't revealed the latter. Beamdog have apparently said it's not them.

I'm glad that's not Beamdog. Their new BG content was quite poor from what I heard (didin't play the enhanced editions myself). The best would be of course Obsidian. They're doing an unrevealed project in Unreal Engine, but I doubt it's BG3. The engine doesn't seem to fit good to an RPG. Next is inExile, but they are currently focused on Wasteland 3. Who else might be doing BG3 is a riddle...

Larian have said it's not them. I believe them. Beamdog, on the other hand... I don't believe *anything* they say.

Baldur's Gate had a perfect ending. It should be left alone.

Making other games set in the Forgotten Realms would be fine.

Then again that means Beamdog would have to create something of their own. They tried that once, kind of, and it failed miserably.
