Auistin316: I'm using Windows 7 Professional
How can you not find your Documents folder? It's in every version of Windows. All you have to do is open Windows Explorer and there it is in the list of available library locations. Surely you must have used Windows Explorer before?

Here's what I'm doing. I open disk C, go to program files(x86), I click on GOG Galaxy, I click on the games folder, click on the Baldur's gate folder and that's where I get lost trying to find my saved game

Then you're doing it wrong. I already told you, because you're playing the enhanced edition, your saves are in 'Documents', and NOT 'Program Files', or anywhere else that Galaxy might be installed. Forget Galaxy. Open Windows Explorer and open your Documents folder, that's where the enhanced version keeps your saves.

You transfer by copying your final save folder (right click >> Copy) and pasting the entire folder into your BG2 saves folder, also in Documents. Right click >> Paste.

That is where you delete any save files you don't want, yes. Just be sure not to delete your final save.

Now getting a message. "We were unable to load the content for unknown." Asks me if I want to purchase, I say yes, but there is nothing to purchase
Getting a message about not being able to load content for unknown.

You are trying to load the BG1 save, aren't you? DON'T. It's a BG1 save, not a BG2 save. You MUST start a new game, create a new character and then choose the 'Import ..." option on the new character screen.
