The Divinity Engine is required to make mods or access the console in Baldur's Gate 3, I'm given to understand: I can't find it in my GoG account anywhere.

Where am I supposed to be looking for it?

the Divinity Engine is the game files and they will be in the folder you installed to which in my case is G:\Gog Games\Baldurs Gate 3

but by default mod file go in documents so thats G:\Documents\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3 or after patch 6 its C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3

replace username and drive letters as needed + as always never install any software to C program files

I don't have the Gog Games folder. I have the C:// Program Files (x86)/Gog Galaxy/Games/Baldur's Gate 3 and I can't find the Divinity Engine 4.0. Could someone help me with this? I've looked for downloads, but you can get to sites that have it listed, but no downloads.

Uninstall Galaxy from program files and put it in C Galaxy or D Galaxy (anywhere but C or C program files) then I'd make a folder for your Galaxy games like D Galaxy games... You can copy paste the games or just reinstall them depending on size and internet (copy =verify)

Once you have done that Divinity engine is just the actual game so the folder where bg3exe lives is normally what you point mods to but I like to have mods in an actual mod folder for neatness

Can I just copy and paste GoG Galaxy and the games in it to a C folder or do I have to uninstall it and start from the beginning? BTW, thank you so much for your help.
P.S. Will all my saves come with the change of folders, too?

I moved GOG Galaxy to a new folder in the C drive and moved my games to another new folder in the C drive. The game works, but I'll have to work on the CLUAConsole part. So, from this point on I will no longer use GOGGalaxy to download games because I can't see where to change the path for it?

when you copy and paste you need to verify in order to know where the files have been moved

your saves = depend on the game;
some [mostly older] games put saves in the documents folder... normally thats C username Documents
modem games save stay with the game so if you instal "Low Magic Age" to you D games then that is where the saves live... Larian being fucwits have moved their save games from Doc to C user appdata local

p.s, Galaxy really is the best tool but its your system

The struggle to keep things off my C drive is a pain in the ass. I wish Microsoft would take a look at how modern computers are configured and come up with new standards. Otherwise, we are at the mercy of developers and game engines.

At one point I was able to move my %homedrive% drive to E:\users\ and I had all my user files (documents, downloads, desktop) living on my E drive. I don't remember how I did it, and I've never managed to do it a second time.

Turns out, it was way more trouble than it's worth, and in my next build I just filled my machine with SSDs and RAIDed them in case of failure. Just sayin'
