It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

UPDATE 2:

It seems that the issue is now resolved and you should be able to update without problems. Once again sorry that you had to wait!

If something still fails with Offline Installers please give them a moment more - GALAXY should be okay though.

Hey everyone! There are indeed some technical issues that occur when updating the game to the latest version. We're working on a solution. In the meantime, doing a clear re-installation of the game should work - if it doesn't help, please bear with us. Our apologies for the inconvenience, we'll resolve it as soon as we can.

UPDATE: Reinstallation does not help at the moment. We're investigating the issue - I'll update you when it's resolved.

Well, I should've listened to stzealot and not king_kunat, I tried uninstall/re-install... new install fails at 18MB / 126.39GB

I found the E9 error this time.

Same problem here

VaDeRbLaDe8: Same here. Other games seem fine. Now I can't even play this game since I tried reinstalling it. It just gets update failed almost immediately. Hopefully GOG fixes this.
Literally this. Damn it.... :/

Do not listen to king_kunat. Reinstaling the game will brake it completely right now.
Just play outdated version if it still works.

It is late in Poland so I bet they will start working on fix tomorrow (8ish hours from now)

Of course no official info or anything on webpage.
I wonder how many people will get screwed over by this.

And then they will flood gog server since instead of downloading small update, you are telling everyone to re-download entire game....

This!

I tried reinstalling, but now it keeps stopping at 2% with installation error E9 :(
Yep, tried deleting the entire game and reinstalling. No go, everything to do with reinstalling the game or the update fails...;) Can't play at all now since I uninstalled it...well, at least we know it's something on Gog's end and that they are working to fix it.
does anyoneknow anything more about this? trying to play w/ some buddies who have it on steam and i can't play with them because we are on different versions
I wonder if GOG is actually making any money off this game with how many times I've had to DL 130gb...........
This also appears to be something specific to BG3. I tried installing a couple of other games in my library, and was able to proceed without issue.

Honestly, I love GOG for so many reasons, but ever since BG3's launch, the platform has had serious issues with its updates. Often.. patches and hotfixes take forever to be available, arriving at least day after their Steam counterparts; or, we have situations like this, where the entire process is just flat-out bust.

Come on GOG... you're generally awesome... but please... this stuff needs improvement!

Used to really love GOG and advocated for people to get their games here. But this is starting to get completely unacceptable. The service here is just turning into a garbage bin fire.

BG3 will likely be the last thing I ever buy here, especially when updating the game just REQUIRED me to have 130gig of free space, on top of the 130 gig that the game already takes, just to UPDATE it last time there was a patch, and now this time, can't even update it, so can't play with friends in multiplayer.... all because GOG chokes almost every update for this game.

Your service is growing worse and worse by the week, it's almost as bad as Epic Store at this point, no wonder Valve dominates the market, everyone else can't make a launcher worth a damn.

bullshit mate... the issue with your sever is that back end files have been changed so its not just Bg3 and a fresh install won't fix it because the server is out of sync
I have the same issue on a brand new computer. So it's broken for fresh installs too.

Sorry but this doesn't work. It just goes from "Update failed" to "install failed." CP2077 just updated fine so I know it must be something with BG3 in particular.

And the problem is, it used to be I could just download it from GOG instead, as Galaxy was optional, but now when I go to the download page, the only option is to download 33 seperate files to get it offline.

Same problem. Update failed E9. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Download stops at 2% and error E9. Could you at least provide the patch as a backup installer we could download?
