The game crashed while I was trying to save and when I rebooted it, the most recent save was like 3/4 hours earlier. Some saves are showing up but my most recent save disappeared. I've read a ton online trying to diagnose the problem but with no luck. I can SEE the previous save (ten minutes before the crash) in my Appdata but the game doesn't register it. I've looked for the debug folder everywhere but there isn't one, only the main story folder so I'm not sure what the problem is / where the game is pulling saves from. The only solution I've seen suggested is to just delete the entire BG3 folder and let GOG recreate it, but that seems so risky. Any other tips?? I could really use some advice from people more tech savvy than me.
For me, the saves are under c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldurs Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public\SaveGames\Story.

Your path might slightly differ, of course. I dont know.

With <username> of course being your username.

Yeah, my saves are in the same location. I can see the last one there but when I boot up the game it doesn't show up as an option in the 'load games' menu.

You don't have to delete it, you can just move it.
