Having to redownload that 136gb of files for each new version takes a few days down here in Australia, where-as the patches are usually around 50~100mb each. Could you upload the latest patch please Larian?

Cheers.
Secong that. How hard can it be? Waiting patiently for day now...

Those are usually the size for "hotfix" patches. When they jump version numbers from 1 to 2. The patches are usually pretty huge. When we jumped from patch 5 to patch 6, the upgrade patch was 25 GB.

Everything time we update to a new full version, based on the install history, it is better to just re-download the full game.
The other issue with the upgrade patches was the FREE SPACE requirements.

When the upgrade patch for 4 to 5 was released, the FREE SPACE required was 1.57TB (1570GB). This was insane.
If you just re-installed the game, the FREE SPACE required was only 120GB.

When the upgrade patch for 5 to 6 was released, the FREE SPACE required was 338GB. This was still stupid.
If you just re-installed the game, the FREE SPACE required was only 130GB.

IF, GoG releases an upgrade patch for 6 to 7, I would just wait a day and see if someone will post the FREE SPACE requirements for the patch, so you don't waste your time downloading the patch and NOT being able to install it and end up downloading the full game anyways.

I would do so if my internet speed wasn't terribly low. I prefer to wait a few days for a 20GB patch than to download 130GB. As for free disk space requirements, it is in anyone's disk drive size ability. In my case, not a problem.

Hey GoG stuff and Larian, where is the differential archive from update 6 to 7? How hard can it be since you did make one for all of the previous major updates?
Since my post they (Larian? GOG?) slipped that offline installer update in for the latest release, kudos ^_^

Also, by the looks of the changelog on gogdb, P911GT3RS, I think they removed it? (the version descriptions are a bit confusing to me so I may be wrong.) Only so many installers can be crammed into the list even in Galaxy (v1.2 and v2) there are only so many previous versions to switch to but doing it that way doesn't give you the offline installer file so eh.

Sadly they didn't provide any offline installer for updating from patch 6 to 7 at all. Forcing the players to download 137GB for the whole game is stupid since they did the correct thing for the previous major updates.

Yep, seems I misread the file version differences, set of files I have has (72469), yet the current patch is (76068) to (76418).

This'll be fun ~_~
They did provide an upgrade from 6.9 to 7.0, but it took a while and was almost exactly as large as the full install and for some reason its already no longer downloadable.
They done another update but this time around the patch actually came out with it.

Save another few days trying to redownload it all again, let's hope they stay on the ball next time it happens.
Larian makes the patches but Gog makes the offline files... each time Larian makes a PC change they put that out first and players find most the major bugs... then a month later the Mac PS and Xbox patches come out which means PC users get a small file so everyone is back on the same build for two mins while Larian gets PC users to test the next patch

rinse/ repeat
Gog brings out major patches i.e, the ones putting everyone on the same build on [or with in that same week] because those are important

other PC only files are less important because they are only a bug test and most the time Larian will need at lest two patches for these patches as players find shit busted... by the time you make a offline copy these are almost always changed so its better to just wait a while
