I've manually downloaded the offline installer version twice now and each time when I go to install it says 'Installer needs the next part (.BIN) file Please Specify the location of part 27 and click ok.

The weird part is that there is no part 27, the offline installer only downloads bin 1 - 23.

Also what is strange is before you download in the extra's section is says the offline installer is supposed to be 106GB but once it starts downloading it says its just 92GB.

This is for version V4.1.1.3622274.

I've made sure GoG Galaxy is fully updated, I've restarted it a few times, I erased the previous download and redownloaded in case of corruption but it still isn't working. Has anyone else had similar issue or is this just a problem I'm having?
There should be 28 parts! And I know where the problem is. Use Ctrl and - and then again Ctrl and + to re-size the screen of your browser window and then it will show all parts and all files beyond.

Oh, I red you use Galaxy. Then it shouldn't be. I only know this problem from website downloads.

It was galaxy client itself borked on that machine, tried it on another system and was able to download the whole thing properly.
Same thing happened to me when I used Galaxy to download the offline installer on Friday. It only downloaded bin files 1-19 and I had to download the rest from the website.

No idea why.

No idea why you use Galaxy, when you can download those files from the website directly. Or is it that Galaxy has the up-to-date installers? I have my doubts about that.

I was about the say the same thing but you got to it first.

If you have the Galaxy client you don't need to use the offline installer... Pointless. Offline installer is so you don't need the Galaxy client. Sort of defeats the purpose.
offline installer is so that I don't have to use my satellite internet to download another 100gb when I want to reinstall the game in a few months, or after a system wipe, or on a different system in the house. I have a local server for a reason and thats to keep an archive of files so I don't have to use costly bandwidth repeatedly.

I don't mind gog and steam clients for browsing things and looking at libraries but I prefer to keep offline installers for everything, I use galaxy to grab offline installers, its got a decent resumable download manager and can queue up alot of downloads quickly, then I turn it off when I'm done.

Yep - I have a few USB 6Tb to 8Tb drives just for that reason. Once all off-line installers are stored it's like you have all your games in a safe place. It feels like you really own the games in stead of something that floating around on the internet. Just like the physical discs from that long forgotten era when you could go to a real store on the streets and buy the game(s) in a box.

By the way - I still have a whole bunch of physical boxes with full-game disks of those older PC games, so those are safe too...

Wow, people really like to jump to conclusions on this forum... I AM using Galaxy to patch and play the game. That doesn't mean I can't also download the offline installer as a backup. XD

I've been using GOG since long before Galaxy existed. I'm still doing what I did back then, which is whenever I buy a new game I download the drm-free installers and pop them on my NAS. That way it's easy to install and play them on any PC in the house, without having to sign into Galaxy or wait for a download to finish.

These days I don't use them as much, since I install and play most games through Galaxy on my main PC. But they're still handy to have. When I'm preparing to travel I may not have time to wait for lengthy downloads to finish. It's much easier just to pop some games on the laptop by installing them from NAS.

Normally I download the offline installers from the website, but in this case Galaxy seemed to offer a one-click download instead of having me download 28 seperate files. Unfortunately it didn't quite work out that way as I pointed out.

After my own heart, I also have boxes full of games from the 90's, even have the collectors edition boxes for things like daggerfall on release, old mechwarriors etc, I keep all the old discs and manuals for the games of yesteryear, I often rebuy them on GoG for easier installers but I still have my release day box of total annihilation and other classics.

I used to save game boxes because I liked how they looked. But man those PC game boxes took up a lot of space and some very irregularly shaped. Stone Keep comes to mind.

Eventually I tossed them though. It's just cardboard.
