I'm tying to install the game via Galaxy client. I've reached 62GB of download (which is marked as 88%) and the installation failed due to error: "E9 GOG servers returned an unknown error".

Every time I try to retry the download it's fails again with the same error within a couple of seconds.

Hey,

I recommend you try this fix first: Go to the game and click on 'extras', then download and continue installing using the offline installer.

I use Galaxy 2.0 and this game seems like it's stuck on install / update but the hard drive is pegged at 100%. It reminds me of ARK that way. It takes a long time to update. but it evenyually does finish. I'm installed on a platter drive though. But it is longer than most games!

Exactly, I had the same experience.

I believe if you open the game splash interface while its installing it 'pauses' the download. That, or it sped up after a couple minutes of no percentage update. Because when I closed the interface the game immediately finished.
I ended up downloading the local installation files from the site interface.

This was more involved process as the installer is decided to 18 parts, but it was ultimately faster, as as I could download around three parts at the same time, each at the DL speed of the Galaxy client.

Sure, just be prepared to re-download them when there is another large patch. No offline patch was provided for this build, so get ready for some heavy downloading in the future. I’ve given up - will wait for final release.
Same thing here. Can't update the game. It's been 5 hours, got to 82% and than Galaxy crushed.

Tried 3-4 times already, I give up.

Broken Galaxy, and GOG have no intentions to fix anything, as it seems. Had similar problems with other games.

GOG seems like a waste of money! Not buying anything here anymore.
