yupihouse: Thank you so much!!!

I followed what you wrote here and it worked.

1. quit Gog Galaxy
2. Delete the word ".download" from "Game.pak.download" in the data folder
3. Delete "Game.pak.state" in the data folder
4. Start GOG Galaxy.

On my PC, this completes the installation!
This worked for me as well be aware that there is two places this needs to be done to work. The game.pak as well as the gustav.pak. I only did the Gustav the first time and it wouldn't work tried to install a second time got the same error. Followed these instructions and it worked properly fully installed.

itsCodyy: This worked for me.

GL y'all

first quit gog,
delete gustav.pak.state
rename gustav.pak.download to gustav.pak
delete game.pak.state
rename game.pak.download to game.pak
delete in Baldurs Gate 3 folder the .hashdb and the other temp file but not the folders or .info files.
This looks to be working for me as well. We'll see if the game actually plays.

Previously did the steps without doing the gustav steps and it did not work. Hope it works for the rest of you folk.

This is the way.
What is really God damn pathetic is this game was more stable as Early Access than it is on the full version because I have it had complete crashes on me on multiple occasions and then when I decided to uninstall and reinstall the damn game now it crashes completely trying to install it AKA fails to install or I'll get to 92% and it will just stay there and not even move WTF is going on with this pile of s***!?

Please tell me what the hell folder file you guys are talking about with Gustav!? I need to know this damn game needs to work for me I've spent over 5 days trying to get this damn product to work!

this isn't solved at all. closing gog galaxy, renaming gustav.pak.download to gustav.pak in the !temp directory and restarting it finishes the update, yes. but then hitting 'verify' to make sure everything is fine restarts the entire 9gb of gustav.pak download and gets stuck at 92% again.

alcaray: What would happen if you verified your files after using this method?
the problem just comes back. it's like it was said earlier in the thread. this isn't solved, you're just tricking GOG galaxy to run a game that's possibly missing data.

I have no game.pak.download nor game.pak.state files anywhere in my game download folder, nor in my computer.
So how do I rename them and delete them?

Found the gustav files and renamed/deleted the ones suggested, now it stucks at 91.9% after scanning installed files and trying to install a 9.12GB file/patch (file download is stuck at 9.11GB)
Tried disabling my windows firewall and my antivirus software, no effect on the situation.

Note. State the folders/sub-folders where you are supposed to find the files, for easier understanding to us older folk.
Solution did not work :-/

Any other ideas? It still gets stuck at 92% with Gustav.pak.state/download and Game.pak.state/download

Any word from GOG support?
The files were in a Temp! folder, I deleted the .download from the file and deleted the entire .state file and it worked

Madievrt: Can't download it either. :( I already tried the solution but it didn't work for me.
It's great that GOG exists but those things must not happen!

UPDATE 1: I tried it again and it worked now.

UPDATE 2: Verifying the game got me stuck at the exact same spot as before (92 %). :-/
Hello,

I have exactly the same problem here and even the "backup" download did not work as it did not download all 4GB files.

I am very disappointed as I wanted to play during my days off. I guess it is time for a refund request. :(

I tried that too but you will end up with another corrupted file.
Try running another Verify/Repair process...

Here is GOG statement on support gog website:

"We are aware of this issue and will fix it as soon as possible.

In the meantime, you can use a workaround to install the game, by downloading the backup offline installers.

To do so, cancel the installation and go to Extras - the installer package can be found on the list below."

I'm sorry but I don't understand the meaning of the backup offline installer and the difference with the game itself (actually I dl the game with this method) but could I send my saves in the game after or what ?
And now BG3 patch is also stuck at 92%

Welp it didn't worked for me. Just refunded it.
Hello,

Here's the answer I've got from Gog :

[i]Hello,

Thank you very much for contacting us and at the same time, apologies for such a late reply. Our service is currently receiving a larger than usual amount of user inquiries.

Due to our storage provider's outage, we were experiencing technical issues that may have caused difficulties in downloading and updating your games both through the GOG GALAXY client and your library.

The issue should have been addressed by now so if possible, please be sure to try and download your game again and see if the problem will persist. If the game still refuses to download itself properly, then please be sure to let me know and I will be sure to escalate this matter further if need be.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused and if you have any other questions that you would like to ask, then feel free to reply to this e-mail and let me know.

Best regards,
Falka
