yupihouse: Thank you so much!!!

I followed what you wrote here and it worked.

1. quit Gog Galaxy
2. Delete the word ".download" from "Game.pak.download" in the data folder
3. Delete "Game.pak.state" in the data folder
4. Start GOG Galaxy.

On my PC, this completes the installation!
Had to do this twice but it finally worked! Thanks to the helpful community, no thanks to GOG support @%*=

z4tz: Had exactly the same issue but might have found a workaround:
Close Gog galaxy
Remove .download from the filenames and remove the .state files.
Start Gog galaxy, it will complete the installation.
After this I manage to start the game. Not sure if it will crash at some point, but got past character creation and started playing at least.

tesla2134: Where are .download and .state?

Thank you so much!!!! on the second try it worked!
I want to point out that renaming incomplete files just tricks Galaxy into thinking the download completed correctly when those files are still missing data. It's not really a solution.

It may get the game running but you will run into issues, most likely crashes.

GOG needs to fix this.

Thats what happened to my game. Ended up uninstalling it. Now waiting to see if I get a refund to buy it somewhere else that installs fine.

MattZeyro: I had been experiencing numerous bugs, glitches, and technical issues while playing Baldur's Gate 3 and attempted to reinstall the game to see if this fixed anything. After uninstalling through Galaxy, the game now will not reinstall. The installation progress bar is stuck at 92% and will not budge. I have attempted to pause/restart the download, reboot Galaxy, and rebooted my computer. Nothing has worked.

Edit: I have also attempted to completely reinstall Galaxy, but my install still stalls at 92%
GoG needs to do something on their end and work with Larian . . . I am getting the same problems. I am hesitant to use the solution that was posted because someone pointed out that the solution may just corrupt the files. Attached is a screenshot of what happens in Galaxy for me . . . and everyone else it seems.
Uninstalled everything and tried again. Got stuck again at 92%
I did this same. I tried to install the game 2 times and it's stuck on 92%.I wasted 7h on this :/
I send a technical request to GOG about this issue, if I've got some answers I would give it to you.
I gave up on Galaxy and downloaded the offline installers as pointed out earlier in this thread. It takes a long time to install, but it works, kinda.

Both the offline patcher to the latest version (v4.1.1.3635601) and the Larian launcher give error messages, but both are referring to non-essential files and can be safely ignored.

What an absolute shit show, but at least I can play the game now.
This marked as solved when it actually does not solve the issue.
What would happen if you verified your files after using this method?
