Although there was a direct connect button to enter a multiplayer session in early access, now with the full release I am not able to find it?

There was even a button to copy the direct ID for easy sharing, right?

Am I missing something?

Don't worry it's still there!

I found it in two places. Probably the easiest is during Character creation or gameplay press ESC and goto the connectivity menu. But hold your horses, the Direct ID box will be empty and the copy button is disabled!

Just look for a checkbox called 'Direct Connection' and tick it, now you can use the direct connection box and the copy button.

The other location is in the games settings, can't remember where though, but the first one works, tested 10 minutes ago.

Thanks for the answer. I can find my direct ID, but I cant find where to use it to join a multiplayer session

EDIT: I am using steam deck. In gog pc setup I can use the ID

So maybe it's there for you, fingers crossed, but mine is access by the following:
• Click Multiplayer on the main menu
• Look to the right hand of the screen for Direct connect. There should be a checkbox, check it.
• Enter or paste Direct ID

If theres no checkbox (before_resize.png), I had to do the following, as changing the aspect and resolution did no fix it...:
• Open settings > Video > Displaymode = Windowed
• Goto multiplayer screen, if checkbox is not there, then widen window by dragging to resize.
• Checkbox should eventually appear, continue as mentioned above.
• Once in server, goto options and switch back to with fullscreen or borderless.

Yes, my friend did this for his steam deck and it worked.

For my steam deck, there is something strange. When it changes to the gamepad layout, there no option to actually use the ID, just read it. We manage to multiplay though (my friends layout didnt change, so hi used my ID). But I cant do this by my own.

Looks like something is really missing (which doesnt make any sense at all)
