Hotfix #15 is available for PC & Mac on both GoG Galaxy and offline download

patch_baldurs_gate_3_Release_-_v4.1.1.4216792_(69689)_to_Release_-_v4.1.1.4251417_-_Patch_Patch5_Hotfix4_(6981 0)

The update requires 42451 MB for disk space to install.

This brings the game to version 4.1.1.4251417

edit: also of note, on GoG Galaxy there is "another patch" called
v4.1.1.4251417 - Patch Patch5_Hotfix4 v4.1.1.4251417-Patch Patch5_Hotfix4+Japanese? But notes say it is only for Japan but it looks like we can also patch it?

edit: Dec 29 2023: the +Japanese patch has been updated to the offline download full game. no individual patch yet

it simply adds the option to install a Japanese lang pack to the selection box and has no other change so if you want japanese and hit the lang options with that installed then it will show up in the last to be downloaded

also be aware there are code changes in hf15 that Larian didn't bother to tell us about so following guides on how to get Karlach and Wyll or Karlach and Minthara will not work the way it used to and offen crashes your game now

My concern is with the way GoG patches work, will it affect the patching order? If users have no interest in installing the Japanese language pack, will it prevent them from installing the next patch? Or for people who only download the offline installers and refuse to use Galaxy, will they be 'forced' to download the Japanese language pack so as not to break the patching order? I guess we will find out soon.

Sucks the patch is still causing crashing issues.

its the same build number with or without the Japanese language pack so unless their mod actually tries to add a language it will not make any difference at all

the patch before that is a 10mb for Windows users and that one only changes the builds to match what Mac players got so as of right now if you have Windows or Mac you should be on the same build number and therefor mods will work the same... that is to say some work well and others break but they do so the same because the underlying code is the same

off line installs have a rule of 5 i.e, every 5 patches or hotfixes they remake the file to need a fresh install... they do this to save server space and yes the Japanese language pack counts as one so in that sence it brings the next fresh install closer
