If we are going to get 63 GB updates on BG3 at least have the bandwidth to do it. It stops all the time with no disc usage. I've had this on a few lg updates. different computers.
They need to roll updates out that they can handle. Bandwidth looks to be the problem but maybe it's galaxy 2,0? who knows. This is a Sxxxx Show though. Can't play the game today.
The last EA game I buy on GOG!

Can confirm, but for me the bigger problem is update keeps failing. I'm not sure if it will not resume on it's own, but I restart it by hand. Once it even crashed Galaxy entirely. What progress it makes is still there after such restart so it's not that painful.

+1
From what I gather it's just a bunch of bug fixes and cut scenes, no major content. Not sure why it's a 60+ gig update. Must be redownloading the entire patched game, then deleting the old one. Already had it fail once and there's plenty of space on my SSD. Oh and by the way the load times are really bad on this game, even installed on an NVMe SSD that's blazing fast. D:OS 1 and 2 the load times are near instant, even on a slow HDD. Hope they can optimize the load times eventually.

Same here 0.1MB download speed - quick fix or it will be the last AAA game I buy through GoG - also why is it trying to download the entire game again?
https://twitter.com/GOGcom/status/1321146624278745088

It seems that they fixed it as it saturates my fiber now. In fact it finished updating with just a few stumbles along the way.
its still broke
the patch is 4 G, both Gog and Steam are overloaded so the servers time out... the default action at that point is to assume you need the entire folder

this is actually pretty normal when big patches come out without testing or any heads up... that some marketing guy is saying the issue results from users having slow harddrives is not helpful

Guy I Think u dont understand EARLY ACCESS = BETA not the FINAL GAME. U buy it with all disadvantage of the BETA STAGE Stop crying for only Download another 70Gb Just DL When u Sleep or Work and stop crying.
it took my days to download the game. Now we got a 4gb patch but the game want us download all 63gb? This is not OK.

Also, "Just DL When u Sleep or Work and stop crying"...... WTF man. From a technical perspective, this basically make you have the disk space to patch. Running on SSD, a 63GB is a lot.
When I got the patch it started as 59 of 63GB. So it was still just 4GB actually downloaded. Just the UI shows the number of the full game for some weird reason.
